Types of Roof Tiling We Work With
Clay Roof Tiles – Low maintenance with a unique, Mediterranean look, clay tiles can single-handedly raise the curb appeal of properties around the Crawley, Horsham and Reigate areas. Available at a range of price points and in many different styles and shapes, clay roof tiles are versatile but quite brittle, so any situation which could see undue stress placed upon them should be avoided (such as workers clambering over your roof).
Concrete Roof Tiles – Sometimes distinct in their aesthetic, and other times mimicking the look of clay or slate, concrete tiles are known for their extraordinary durability and high performance, easily coping with even the most demanding of weather conditions. For this key reason, concrete roof tiles are one of the most common/popular choices on the market. However, do consider that the weight of concrete tiles means the roof structure may need to be well reinforced by our roofers. .
Interlocking Roof Tiles – Quick and easy to install, interlocking roof tiles are known for their affordability. Usually made from concrete, but also available in clay or slate, they are available in three configurations: flat, profiled or granular.
Large Format Roof Tiles – If your pitched roofing structure is unable to support heavy loads and reinforcing it is not an option, large format roof tiles can be ideal. Like interlocking roof tiles, they are quick and easy to install, reducing labour costs and thus the final fee. Clay and concrete are common materials used for large format tiles, and many different designs, colours and finishes are available.
Pantiles – Iconic with their eye-catching “S” format, pantiles offer a unique aesthetic that can suit many types of property in the Crawley, Horsham and Reigate. Typically made of concrete or clay, the latter are kiln-fired and offer a very natural aesthetic, resisting the fading that concrete tiles are prone to suffering over time. Concrete, however, is usually the more affordable option of the two.
